Coach as Instrument: Instrument of the Universe

Happy International Coaching Week (ICW)!

The theme of this year's ICW is Reimagine the Future. I notice that many conferences this year have a similar theme - looking to the future. It's as if we collectively have realized that, in some way, the pandemic changed what we thought we knew.

For ICW, my team and I put together a series of brief (5ish minute) videos on Coach as Instrument: The Future of Coaching. You can see all the videos this week here.

The idea about the series is this: The future of coaching is in us as coaches, knowing, believing, and acting in ways that acknowledge that we are Instruments of the Universe.

What does that mean?

It means that we coaches support the Universe, God, Spirit, or Consciousness in fulfilling its purpose, helping our clients know themselves so that the Universe/God/Spirit/Consciousness can know itself.

And when we coaches see ourselves as supporting an organic process already underway for our clients (and ourselves), we can stop "working so hard," "adding value," and "trying to get our clients to see." And we can flow with what wants to unfold, trusting that it's enough.
