The intention of using the WE-I Profile with clients is to help them see something they can’t see about how their patterns are impacting their lives. Doing that can be challenging when the client rejects what the Profile reveals or simply can’t see how the data in the Profile reflects their experience of their lives. The Profile almost always captures something important and legitimate about the client’s internal experience, so how can we help them see what they can’t?
Most of the time (though not always), our client’s Profile data is reflected in their narrative. What does that mean? It means that our client’s reactions, statements and stories shared during the debrief or during our coaching of them, reflect the data in their Profile report. How can that be?
We humans are always, at some level, narrating our internal experience. Knowing how a client’s narrative ties to the data in their Profile may be the best and sometimes only way to support the client in recognizing the patterns captured by their Profile.
In this one-session course, we’ll explore the following questions:
When does our client’s Profile show up in their behavior?
How do our clients’ narratives and expressions relate to the Profile?
How can we help our clients see how their Profile is showing up, real-time, in a coaching session?
Can I determine a client’s Profile without having them take it? (Hint:Yes!)
You’ll walk away from this session with a new deeper, richer understanding of this critical aspect of our inner world and you’ll be able to:
Connect what your client says and does to the dimensions of the Profile (whether they have taken the Profile or not)
Gauge what awareness your client is ready for
Share what you are experiencing about your client in supportive ways
Identify how our client’s patterns show up in the issues they bring to coaching
